Relationships of Characters in a book  - Fit together like a bouquet of flowers, so different but great together.  

A powerful element in any chapter book includes the weaving together of characters. The characters can be part of a group that shares the same sport, or a group that has the same sense of humour. Characters can also connect through their neighbourhood where the children gather on the street together to play street hockey or on the basketball court to shoot hoops. Both places where the teams are made up of all the children that show up. There are so many ways the characters in a book can fit together.

What is the meaning of the word 'character'? One definition is a person represented in a drama, story, etc. which relates to the characters in every story however a different definition that I used in The Case at High Lake is qualities of honesty, courage, of the like: integrity:
